I congratulate fellow nominee and winner of the 2017 Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize, Adele Barclay, at the 2017 BC Book Prizes gala. If I Were in a Cage, I’d Reach Out for You is Adele’s first published collection of poetry. Adele joined me on a book tour of northern BC in the week prior to the gala.
